Failure To Yield Results In Serious Accident 

On the late evening of Wednesday, July 31, at approximately 9:27 p.m., the Ohio State Highway Patrol responded to the scene of a serious injury accident in Danbury Township, Ottawa County at SR 163 at Milepost 31

Unit 1, a 2014 Chevy Malibu was turning onto SR 163 near Milepost 31 from a private drive.  Unit 2, a 2014 Kawasaki Vulcan 900 Custom, was traveling eastbound on SR 163 near Milepost 31.  Unit 1 failed to yield to traffic and was struck by Unit 2.  After the impact, Unit 2 overturned, went off the left side of the road, and struck and fence and then a tree.

As a result of the accident, which was caused by Unit 1, Unit 1 and a passenger were not listed as being injured.  Unit 2 was seen by EMS from Danbury and was transported to Promedica Medical Center in serious medical conditions.
