Vehicle Failed To Yield At Stop Sign Resulting Serious Injury

On the afternoon of Tuesday, June 21, at approximately 3:43 p.m., the Granton Township, Ohio Highway Patrol, Lorain County, responded to a serious injury accident.   This accident occurred on SR 83 and SR 303.   

Vehicle 1, a 2015 Hyundai, Elantra, was traveling westbound on State Route 302.  Vehicle 2, a 2012 Harley Davidson FLSTC was traveling northbound on State Route 83.   Vehicle 1 failed to yield at a stop sign and made a left turn.  Vehicle 2 struck Unit 1 on the driver’s side. 

Vehicle 1 was found at fault for failure to yield to Vehicle 2.   The driver and passenger of Vehicle 2 were seriously injured, and on the scene, were tended to by Granton Twp. EMS.  Both were transported, due to serious injuries, to University Hospital Elyria.   The driver of Vehicle 1 was not injured at the scene of the accident.
