Ohio Accident News 2022 – Providence Neapolis Swanton, OH


Failure To Yield Results In Serious Injuries

On the late morning of Monday,  July 11, at approximately 11:57 a.m., the Providence Township Ohio Highway Patrol in Lucas County, responded to a serious injury accident at Providence Neapolis Swanton and Neowash.   

Unit 2, a 2006 Dodge (model not known from the crash report), was northbound on Providence Neapolis Swanton Road approaching Neowash Road.   Unit 1, a 2007 Hyundai Entourage,  pulled away from a stop, eastbound on Neowash Road into the path of Unit 2, and was struck on the right side.   Unit 1 then drove off the north side of the roadway before overturning onto its top in a cornfield.   Unit 2 drove off the east side of the roadway coming to rest on its right side in a cornfield.   

As a result of the accident, the driver of Unit 1 was slightly injured and taken by Providence Rescue Squad to the UTMUO Hospital.   The driver of Unit 2 was seriously injured and was taken by Life squad #9 to UTMUO Hospital.

Unit 1 received a citation for a right-of-way through Highway.
