Ohio Accident News 2022 – Salem Township, OH


Failure To Yield At Stop Sign Results In Serious Injuries

On the evening of Wednesday, June 22, at 6:46 p.m., in Ottawa County, Salem Township, the Ohio Highway Patrol responded to a serious injury accident at CR 98 and TR 102.   

Vehicle 1, a 2014 Ford F-150 was northbound on Township Road 102 and County Road 98. Vehicle 2, a 2018 Chevrolet Volt was westbound approaching the same intersection.  Vehicle 1 failed to yield at a stop sign and struck Vehicle 2.  Vehicle 2 landed on its top across the roadway several feet.   

The driver of Vehicle 1, was slightly injured and was seen by the Carroll Township EMS.   The driver was taken to Saint Vincent Medical Center.

The driver of Vehicle 2, was seriously injured and was seen by the Life Flight and was taken to the University of Toledo Medical Center.
