Failure To Yield From A Private Drive Results In Serious Injuries

On the afternoon of Thursday, June 30, at approximately 3:12 p.m. the Strongsville Police responded to a serious injury accident in Cuyahoga County in front of Chestnut Lake Apartments on Whitney Road.

Vehicle 1, a 2013 Ford Fusion, was going north in the private drive of the Chestnut Lake Apartments at 17603 Whitney Road. Vehicle 2, a 2022 Chevrolet Equinox, was headed east on Whitney Road. Vehicle 1 attempted to turn west from the private drive of the apartments onto Whitney Road and struck Vehicle 2, causing Vehicle 2 to flip onto its roof, trapping the driver and causing disability damage. As a result of the accident, Vehicle 1 and her two passengers were not listed as injured at the scene. The driver of Vehicle 2 was seen by the Strongsville Fire Department on the scene and taken to Strongsville General Hospital with serious injuries.
