Beating The Red Light Causes Fatal Accident
Early on the morning of Monday, May 30, a car crash occurred leaving one dead and four injured. The incident happened on SR-57 near I-90 at approximately 5:15 am.
The incident occurred when a 2022 Toyota Camry was traveling northbound on SR-57. The Camry did not stop at a red light and ran into a 2015 Freightliner semi-truck. The Camry reportedly had five people inside.
The driver of the Camry, 37, was pronounced dead on the scene. One passenger, 31, was flown to Metro Hospital, sustaining life-threatening injuries from the crash. The other three passengers from the Camry were taken to Elyria University Hospital with serious injuries.
